A person passes away, and they or their family decide to give the gift of life through tissue donation. One donor can save and heal the lives of more than 75 people.
Tissue recovery partners throughout the United States facilitate tissue donation.
Evergen Donor Services works with organ procurement organizations and tissue banks to promote responsible stewardship of the gift of tissue donation.
Evergen receives and processes donated tissue, including bone, cornea, sclera, pericardium, cartilage, fascia lata, tendons and skin into surgical implants to help patients. Surgeons use these implants to restore mobility, replace or reconstruct tissue, or protect the body from infection and promote healing.
Allograft tissue (tissue surgically transplanted from one person to another) is used in more than 2.5 million life-restoring procedures each year, offering patients a new chance at healthy, productive, and normal lives.
We value our recovery partners who provide donated tissue. By working with Evergen Donor Services, partners benefit from our science, safety, and innovation. Our focus is on delivering a high level of service to our recovery partners and developing safe, innovative regenerative solutions that enhance lives and maximize the gift of tissue donation.

Evergen Donor Services participates in the Pathways Thank You Letter Program, allowing patients to thank donor families and express the impact of their donation. Patients write letters, which are forwarded to the organ procurement organization to share with the donor family.
Patients who received an implant processed by Evergen can visit the Pathways website for more information.
Located at our facility in Alachua, Florida, the Donor Memorial Pond is a tribute to donors and their families and a reminder to employees and visitors of the patients who benefit from the gift of donation every year.
